THE BOOK FINISHER'S CLUB

Finally finish the book you've been meaning to write for ever!

You arrive with your book idea, I give you a pathway to follow so writing and publishing your book feels inevitable.

Writing a book feels like such a great idea and you really want to do do it, but getting from 'wanting' to 'doing' can be hard when you're busy.

Apart from getting all your other work done, adding another big project is daunting. It's not surprising that so many book dreams fall by the wayside

Does any of this feel familiar?

  • You’ve planned your book a zillion times and have so many versions that your head is spinning.

  • You sit down to write and have one good session then nada, nothing… for weeks. Then you start again.

  • You get a title worked out, then the next day you hate it so you end up not writing anything.

  • You see someone else has written your book and you feel demotivated and slink away feeling a failure.

  • You’ve announced you’re writing a book so many times you’re too embarrassed to mention it again.

  • You start writing then get distracted by worries about the publishing process or how you’re going to launch it then can’t get back to it for weeks.

  • You get jealous whenever anyone - but particularly your competitors - announce the publication of their book to the world because yours feels a million miles away.

  • You’re tired of starting, stopping, and feeling as if your book will NEVER get done.

And because your book isn’t done, you feel as if you’re missing out on opportunities to work with your ideal clients, collaborate with influencers and get the best opportunities to be more visible.

It's horrible isn't it?

Even worse, not getting your book done is starting to pick away at your confidence (not great when you need to be marketing your business and raising your profile).

Now imagine how things could be different when...

  • You get access to a step-by-step pathway that’s designed so you never have to wonder ‘what do I do next?’

  • You have the tools and know-how at your fingertips whenever you need them, without having to work through long videos and course work.

  • You get the assurance and encouragement you need exactly when you need it, so you don’t give up (again).

  • You set realistic, achievable goals so you feel good about your progress, however small it might seem.

  • You create a writing habit that calms your inner critic so sitting down to write becomes something you look forward to rather than dread.

Your book stops being an item on your to-do list and starts actually getting done. You feel motivated to continue and your confidence in it grows as you take each step forward.

When your book goes beyond chapter one, it feels exciting. You can see it developing. You get inspired and writing feels easy. That’s when the magic happens. Your brilliance, wisdom and expertise flow out without it feeling forced. You’re not putting on a show, you’re being yourself on the page. It’s liberating and exhilarating.

The only problem? It’s not like that right now…

While everyone else seems to be waving around their finished, published book, yours is still a pile of notes, a few half-finished chapters and a title.

It’s not just frustrating and embarrassing, it damages your confidence.

Even though you’ve been ‘trying’ for weeks, months, even years to write this book, you still haven’t got it finished.

Confused woman

You've tried a lot of different approaches:

  • Online writing challenges

  • Getting up at 5am (or staying up ‘til midnight)

  • Courses (online, one-day intensives, self-study)

  • NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Challenge Month) even though you’re not writing a novel

  • Writing for an hour a day for months

  • Writing retreats (virtual and in person)

  • Reading books, watching YouTube videos and downloading all the freebies you can lay your hands on

But nothing has worked and you’re starting to think it’s you that’s the problem. You get fired up then fall behind on your own plans and it all just feels a bit pointless. Why do you keep trying to do this? Then the sneaky little voice that keeps saying, ‘Maybe you’re just not up to it’ keeps popping up.

I’ve got news: you’re more than up to it. Believe me.

So what exactly is The Book Finishers’ Club?

It’s a supportive online writing hub where I guide you through the process of planning, writing and publishing your book. You bring your book idea and I’ll bring my extensive editorial and publishing experience forged with major UK publishers over 12 years.

I’ll guide you through my 5P Publishing Process in micro steps so you’re never left wondering what to do next. It’ll give you the big picture, so you’ll always know where you are in the process, where you're going next and why you’re doing what you’re doing.

You get the encouragement, accountability, know-how and the tools you need to navigate your way from wherever you are with your book to wherever you want to get to. You’ll be guided to work out the best way for you to get things done with the backing of an experienced coach and editor (me!) while you do it.

All you have to do is follow the carefully crafted pathway I’ve set out for you. I'll help you keep going until your book is done.

A word about ‘done’

…because it might not be the same for everyone. Done could mean...

  • You have a manuscript that’s ready to go to your book producer or editor.

  • Your book is ready to go with your proposal to an agent or publisher.

  • Your book is published and listed on Amazon.

It’s up to you. All you need to know is that I’ll be there to guide you every step of the way.
